Barney Miller’s “Believe and It’s Free” Campaign Rocks Fans.
The third quarter of 2008 saw a sharp downturn in consumer spending. We had to rethink previously established plans and strategies for our client Barney Miller’s. Playing off the University of Kentucky’s motivational chant for the Wildcats football team “We Believe”, the agency launched a multi-media campaign that promised fans if the Cats made it to the SEC championship, any flat screen television purchased in August would be free. The “Believe and it’s free” message hit true blue fans hearts and homes through action-packed television and radio spots, newspaper ads, in-store posters and banners on the Main Street storefront.
