LexPark becomes the good guys.

Difficulty in finding a parking was keeping shoppers and diners away from downtown. Faced with the prospect of increased enforcement and hence rising costs, the LFUCG brought us on board to create a communications plan for LexPark, the new on-street parking program.

We repositioned enforcers as more neutral and less threatening “outriders” and tried to change meter feeder behavior by as gently as possible, by waiving first violations. Our Segway-driving outriders with handing out Downtown Area Parking maps to all.

And we launched a multi media campaign to let people know that parking was the lifeblood of downtown retail.
